 The software industry moved offshore from the US to outsourcing in India back in the late 90s and early 2000s after the bubble burst. Suddenly everyone was being told a degree in Computer Science or otherwise pursuing a career writing code was a dead-end job. Not that it's a bad thing, I have to return to the office in late June and I wish I could remain work from home. But companies are going to realize at some point, as the economic doesn't bounce back quickly, that these employees who can "work remotely" could also "work remotely" from India. Or Thailand.
