I grew up in Hong Kong and was basically brought up by my Filipina maid. In school we had a lesson about racial stereotypes and the lecturer said it was bad to assume a Filipina were maids and I put my hand up asking what was wrong about being a maid, these women left their family to make more in HK and put their kids through university. They were heros.I am thankful for each person who does this type of job. They keep the work area clean, our streets and take away our garbage. There is no shame in this job; we need them.
