I disagree to an extent. “Because too much screen time is bad for you” is a good reason. That being said, my kids have a set time limit. It’s always been this way. Sometimes I let them have more time, on weekends or whatever. On a normal day, if they are reasonable about it when their time is up, I will let them finish up what they are doing - as long as it’s 5-10 minutes. If my 11 year old screams at me when I remind her she needs to be off, then I’m much less inclined to be gracious and let her finish.
