I will add to this. My parents put a “block” on my internet time as a kid. I had a password, and it timed me based on my log-in. But they didn’t actually monitor it or encourage me to use my head to determine the time spent, so instead I figured out how to bypass the program to get more internet time.It wasn’t a bad parenting choice, since I learned a lot about that kind of software, but probably not the prime parenting choice. So, now I am an adult with bad time management and fairly impressive computer management.
