I think a few movies have done that. Like the disc for the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is just plain with the film titled scribbled in marker on the disc. Or like I bought Kanye West - Yeezus when it first came out and since it’s just a plain disc, plain case with no booklet the worker asked his coworker if it’s meant to be like that and the other guy said “yeah I think so it’s just Kanye West is a bit of a helmet”. I imagine there are more examples of packaging like that too.
