They don't require follows, it just adds bonus entries. I do completely understand your dissatisfaction though; I also dislike the extra entries for external social media activity. Using a giveaway to pimp one's other social media accounts is an irritatingly common practice. I've entered a few similar giveaways before, from what I understand you now have 5 entries and each extra activity will give you more (I don't know how many extra entries, since they aren't being transparent and displaying them on the site). The extra entries just give you higher odds of winning, like multiple raffle tickets.
