When I worked laundry at a bad hotel, we had an 80-something year old woman get out of her shower and grab a towel off the shelf and end up covered in human shit. Someone shit on a towel and then refolded it and put it back hoping I guess that a housekeeper would pull it down. But one of the reason we sucked is because the manager made the housekeepers leave linen in rooms and on bed if it didn't "look visibly dirty" so they left folded towels in bathrooms all the time as well as clearly used blankets and pillowcases just to save time.
