Back when I was in high school in the mid-2000s we had a super solid local music scene, mostly hardcore/punk type music. Every weekend was like a raging party, and we did it (mostly) without booze or drugs! Really, some of the best times of my life. Anyway, somebody came up with this saying, "fuck life... party time!" and it just ended up sticking because it encapsulated that time and space so well. It wasn't too long after that you'd see "F.L.P.T." scribbled on street signs and park benches all over town, and then eventually stickers and patches.
