I think it's probably a lack of interest. If you were curious enough you'd do it. I have a mild interest in learning it, but not enough to motivate me to actually put effort into solving a Rubik's cube vs. spending my time doing something else. I can't work a dustpan. There's always that stupid line of dirt at the edge or a bunch of crap that gets swept under the pan. At this point I refuse to use one and will just vacuum up the dirt pile.
