Teaching your kid the value of the money is important. Its alot more important if you are rich. Now the punishment is fair but it should last a couple of months not a year. And maybe dont buy a 200$ shirt for your kid when the same one without the logo costs only 20$. From what I got from op she probably has these designer cloths herself. Although you can do whatever you want with your money. I find it extremely stupid to pay for the same shirt 10x more just because it has a logo on it. NTA it’s good to teach him some humility. I grew up in a well off family that was a bit more down to earth.
