Please don't let him end up like so many others who've steered our countries and the world to where it's headed now. Make him get a job. Fast food. Make him work and suffer and then hammer home that this is most people's lives for 60-70 years. Make him budget his own money for his expenses, including rent and groceries, make him experience how most people actually live. Of course, since he's a kid his money won't actually be spent on rent and groceries, just saved for him. But make him learn, at least for a few months.
