It’s really easy to forget how many people do not care about politics at all. If you’re not paying attention, it’s very easy to be not only uninformed, but misinformed about the news, depending on what political bubble you’re in by way of your social circles. People that like Trump seem to be the people who feel vindicated by a guy who gets away with being an asshole. They’re the ones who like him because “he tells it like it is,” which IMO translates to “he speaks his mind and tells people who get offended to deal with it because he has power over them.” There are people who truly do feel represented by Trump because they see him pushing back against people they dislike, and it’s fucking alarming that they feel that way.
