While the Catholic Church has much to answer for, I think it is more helpful to focus on her own words regarding the way she interprets the law through the lens of her personal faith rather than as its own secular institution. There is plenty to criticise there without inviting calls of anti-catholicism. I’m catholic and I hate this shit. You don’t actually have to agree with the church to be catholic, you need only believe the dogma. This “teaching” is not even remotely a core belief. It’s shit cis men who lead the church decided could be an interpretation of some teachings. It’s not binding and it doesn’t make you not catholic to not agree.
