Quick story: a friend helped us move, busted his ass, spent the night on an air mattress in living room. Wife and him got into an argument about feeding dogs chocolate. She did it in front of him and he said it was bad for dogs and she went at him. I was amazed, however, when he apologized to her on his own. Said it was her home and her dog and he shouldn't tell her what to do. (I have good friends.) I was so proud of the way he handled it and I thought that diffused the situation but she woke me at 4 AM and said we had "to deal with this." I was confused and she went out to the living room, woke my buddy, and continued the argument about dogs!
