Any senator who tells you otherwise is pissing on your shoes while telling you that it must be raining. As someone living in the American democracy (being what it currently is... at probably its lowest point), you should be extremely pissed off. Any stooge in the GOP could do what McConnell does. The only requirement is that they are in a safe state and won't ever lose their election. He gets the blame and if/when shit hits the fan, he will graciously step down and another one will take his place.
