One of the fundamental points of having a layer of representatives instead of a direct democracy (I'm addition to administrative) is for representatives to a) give a fuck about the issues and b) vote based on their policy expertise for what's best for their constituents, i.e. not always blindly vote for what the knee jerk of their district might be.Sorry for the rant, it's been bottled up throughout this entire ordeal and just hopefully wanted people to hear that this shit does have an impact on people who have historically not been a swing vote.
